After becoming a freelancer, Fujita branched out from game music to musicals and TV dramas, working on a wide variety of music, from instrumental to voiced tracks across her over 42 years of experience, making her into one of gaming’s most legendary composers.\nIn June 2024, Fujita began her “OkanP” TikTok account, where she would compose original music inspired by an existing game, and soon after, her videos went viral! For Fujita, creating music is like making food–it comes naturally. She takes no shortcuts on quality, maintainng a high standard. Her first video, “Can you create a Mega Man-like song?” has amassed over 2.8 million views.\nAbout OkanP\nIn each OkanP video, Harumi Fujita’s son visits his mother’s music studio and calls out to her by saying, “okan,” which is regional (Kansai) Japanese slang that can be translated into English as “Mama” or “Ma” (a more casual and personal version of “mother”).
