Sky Castle (Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle)\nSource(s): Sky Castle\nGame: Alexx Kidd in the Enchanted Castle\nComposer(s): Tarnya\nTrack notes: This track is played in the last level of Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.\nHyde209 notes: Back to this 16-Bit SEGA classic =D\nMy last Alex Kidd remix was a cheerful and easy going tune.\nThis time I wanted to explore that dark and mysterous place I remember from my childhood.\nBack then sky castle was to me a pretty scary place. Not only was it a maze full of challenges to overcome, but imagine the anticlimax for me as a 7 year old to finaly face Ashra and and get my butt kicked in a game of rock paper scissors.\nThe disappointment was total =(\nI still remember the joy when my big brother finaly beat the game. Those were the days =)\n02. Victorian Fear (CastleVania Portrait of Ruin)\nSource(s): Victorian Fear\nGame: Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin\nComposer(s): ???\nTrack notes: This track is played in one of the first stages of CastleVania Portrait of Ruin on Nintendo DS.\nHyde209 notes: This remix is a request from LordXsi.\nIt's such a great tune to begin with, I have no idea why I didn't get the idea myself.\nAnyhow, kudos to LodXsi for asking me to remix it ^^\nIt was also a great opportunity to test a new VST plug I bought\nfrom Syntheway called Magnus Choir.\n03. Rainbow Cemetery (CastleVania Symphony of the Night)\nSource(s): Rainbow Cemetery\nGame: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night\nComposer(s): Michiru Yamane\nTrack notes: This track is played in the subterainan area of CastleVania Symphony of the Night on Playstation 1 and SEGA Saturn.\nHyde209 notes: More Castlevania...YEAH!\nI wanted to make an epic, dark, heavy and mysterous Castlevania remix.\nThis song has always reminded me of MUSE, maybe it's the epic piano parts.\nAnyway, the similarity to MUSE might just be the reason why I chose it =D\n04. Headless (Decap Attack)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: Decap Attack\nComposer(s): Fumito Tamayama\nTrack notes: This track is played in quite a few levels of Decap Attack on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.\nHyde209 notes: This awesome tune comes from a somewhat forgotten SEGA classic.\nI love the 80s cartoon horror style in this game. it's soo RAD!\nWith this remix I had no special idea eccept I wanted it to be heavy on the bass.\nThe Clean guitar parts came out pretty sweet =D\n05. Ninja Training (Donald Duck in Maui Mallard)\nSource(s): Stage 2 - Ninja Training Grounds\nGame: Donald Duck in Maui Mallard\nComposer(s): Michael Giacchino\nTrack notes: This track is played in the second stage of Donald Duck in Maui Mallard on SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.\nHyde209 notes: One of my all time favorite SEGA games. It's hard but well worth the while.\nI used to play this game all the time during my summer hollidays in the late 90s.\nGood times.\n06. Ancient Ruins (ELF)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: Elf\nComposer(s): Matthew Cannon\nTrack notes: This track is played in the second stage of ELF on the Commodore Amiga.\nHyde209 notes: When I grew up I played Nintendo SEGA and one other platform. Amiga 500.\nElf was one of my favorite Amiga games back then. I played Amiga a lot =D\nThis game is sort'a like Megaman with an RPG twist you might say.\n07. Khazâd ai-mênu (Faxanadu)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: Faxanadu\nComposer(s): ???\nTrack notes: This track is played in one of the last areas of Faxanadu on the NES.\nHyde209 notes: This remix was requested by nozoto.\n\"Khazâd ai-mênu\" means \"The Dwarves are upon you\" in Khuzdul,\nthe fictional dwarf language that Tolkien invented. I thought it sounded pretty cool.\nI've wanted to remix this song before, but havn't done so until now.\n08. Village of Decay and Destruction (Ghouls 'n Ghosts)\nSource(s): Level 2, The Village of Decay and Destruction\nGame: Ghouls 'n Ghosts\nComposer(s): Tamayo Kawamoto\nTrack notes: This track is played in the second level of Ghouls 'n Ghosts on Arcade & SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis.\nHyde209 notes: This remix is a requested by FinalGamerJames.\nI've thought about doing a remix of this tune for about half a year or so.\nI just wasn't sure of what sound I wanted. The original song sounds a bit like\ntraditional folk or medieval music. That's why I used mainly flute and different\nstring instruments. But no Hyde209 remix is complete without regular drums and a fat, funky bass as foundation.\n09. Hectic City (Gumshoe)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: Gumshoe\nComposer(s): ???\nTrack notes: This track with intro is played in the first level of the Zapper game Gumshoe on the NES.\nHyde209 notes: I used to hangout at my neighbour playing this game as a kid.\nTo this day there's no game quite like it. Both the style and the concept it pretty cool and unique.\nIt's a bit short, but then it's pretty hard too.\nI really enjoyed making the noir-esq intro and outro for this remix.\n10. Rhythmic Hallucination (The King of Fighters 97)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: The King of Fighters '97\nComposer(s): Shinsekai Gakkyoku Zatsugidan (SHA-V, SHIMIZM, JOJOUHA-KITAPY, YAMAPY-1, TATE-NORIO, ACKEY, KYO-CHAN, ZOE, MARIMO)\nTrack notes: This track is played as the theme for Team Orochi in The King of Fighters 97 on the Neo Geo.\nHyde209 notes: This remix was requested by DarkwingGeese.\nMy first SNK remix. I've though about doing a Metal Slug remix before, but SNK has more awesome music to offer.\nKudos to DarkwingGeese for the request. With this remix I stuck mostly to the original arrangment,\nbut added a few new things and gave it my own special touch.\nI suck at this game by the way =(\n11. Viper Pit (Rollergames)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: Rollergames\nComposer(s): Suzuki (Katsuhiko Suzuki), Matsuo (Shigemasa Matsuo), Fujio (Atsushi Fujio) & Hanzawa (Norio Hanzawa)\nTrack notes: This track is played in the last level just before the final boss of Rollergames on the NES.\nHyde209 notes: This was one tough song to remix. The difficulty lies in the 7/8 rhythm.\nBut I like odd beats and it's such a cool song so I had to remix it.\n14. Temple (Shantae)\nSource(s): ???\nGame: Shantae\nComposer(s): Jake Kaufman\nTrack notes: This track is played in some of the temples of Shantae on the Gameyboy Color.\nHyde209 notes: This particular song was my the first remix I uploaded here on YouTube about one and a half year ago.\nSince I like the song soo much I thought I had to re-remix it in a completely different fashion.\nMy earlier version had a somewhat more acoustic feeling.\nIn this version I when all in with synth, guitar and even melodica.\n15. Elusive Prisoner (Street Fighter Alpha 3)\nSource(s): Stripes —Theme of CODY—\nGame: Street Fighter Alpha 3\nComposer(s): Yuki Iwai\nTrack notes: This track is played as Cody's theme in Street Fighter Alpha 3 on Arcade.\nHyde209 notes: This remix is a request done by FinalGamerJames.\nWhen I first listened to the original I though it somehow reminded me of Rage Against the Machine. Since I really like RATM that's the vibe I wanted to get across with my remix. I slowed the tempo and tweaked the main riff to get the right kind of groove. However, I kept most of the original structure with some fairly small and simple rearrangments.\nKudos to FinalGamerJames for the request.\n18.
