What a ride. Released in Europe on September 29 1995, the game that alone sold me the original Playstation. Itself an evolution of \"F-Zero\" and \"Mario Kart\" from the Super Nintendo wrapped around a quality package by programmed  and designed by Psygnosis with the help of The Designers Republic and the musical talents of Tim \"CoLD SToRAGE\" Wright. Despite not looking anything like what we had seen in the movie \"Hackers\", the ability to race around an anti-gravity vehicle at blinding speeds in futuristic courses quickly capture my imagination very much the same way \"F-Zero\" did a few years before.  But the biggest influence of it all on me was the music. Always with the music. Before \"Wipeout\", electronic music for me was Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis. After the game, it became Fluke, The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Underworld, Orbital, Leftfield... the list goes on and on. I have stated this before but it is always nice to remember: There would not be Shiryu Music if not for \"Wipeout\". It was the game and it's sequels that stirred the already ongoing pot of wanting to know how to make those sounds. Twenty years later and here I am, still a newbie, still having a lot of fun experimenting and discovering new ways to make sound and to come to an end of this very important chapter, presenting to you the definitive, very last Wipeout themed album I will (probably!) ever work on. This special edition is a compilation of all my previous works, including all four original releases plus an \"The Outer Haven Sessions\" EP. I often wonder if this is my Magnum Opus... will I ever do something as great as these tracks in the future?
